According to Мін. Оборони: Over the past three years, the Brave1 Defense Innovation Cluster has injected 6.2 billion UAH into advancing defense technologies. This substantial investment leverages a variety of grant programs and international co-financing to support projects focused on missile systems and artificial intelligence. The primary aim is to accelerate the transition from concept to deployable technology for manufacturers.
Structured Financial Support Programs
Brave1 operates several distinct funding mechanisms, including:
- standard grant programs;
- special grant initiatives;
- international grant collaborations;
- competitive grant calls.
The standard grant offerings range from 500,000 to 8 million UAH, determined by the technology's development stage. Special grants provide up to 8 million UAH for breakthrough innovations regardless of their readiness level.
To date, the classic grant program has awarded 977 grants totaling 2.3 billion UAH. Additionally, 20 special grants amounting to 145 million UAH have supported advancements in missile and artificial intelligence technologies. In 2026, 11 teams received 81 million UAH through the EU4UA Defence Tech initiative, targeting the development of high-speed interceptor drones and radar systems.
