Death of Soldier Vitalii Sadovnychenko
After more than a year and a half listed as missing in action, soldier Vitalii Sadovnychenko was killed on February 4, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. He was 26 years old at the time of his death and served as a gunner in the 1st Air Assault Battalion (military unit A0284).
Born on January 18, 1999, in the city of Hrebinka in the Poltava region, Vitalii Sadovnychenko attended the Maiorivka Special School and later trained as a mechanic at the Kremenchuk Vocational and Technical College. In 2020, he was called up for mandatory military service and subsequently signed a contract to continue serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Honoring His Memory
From February 4, 2025, Vitalii was considered missing in action. On that same day, he died near the settlement of Kosytsia in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation while performing a combat mission. He is survived by his father.
