The state program 'Schoolchild Package' will be expanded - in addition to stationery, clothing, and footwear, it will now include books. This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy, Denys Uliutin, noting that the changes will take effect within the next three weeks.

According to the official, Ukrainian families are actively taking advantage of the opportunity to apply for assistance. As of September 2, nearly 128,000 applications have been submitted, with 122,000 of them made through the 'Diia' app. Uliutin emphasized that citizens are increasingly choosing the online format.

Within the framework of the first funding, support has already been received by 86,000 families for a total amount of 430 million hryvnias. This accounts for 35% of the funds allocated in the state budget. Another approximately 18,000 families are waiting for payments in the near future.

The ministry has recorded over 3,000 refusals due to non-compliance with program conditions. 'Parents should not worry - they will be able to reapply and receive assistance. Most refusals are related to incorrect data in the system or, for example, the fact that the child was transferred to another educational institution. After updating the data, one should wait two days before submitting the application again,' the minister explained.

Impact of the program on the subsidy amount

We also remind whether the 'Schoolchild Package' will affect the amount of the subsidy.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Social Policy is expanding the 'Schoolchild Package' program by including books in the list of provided assistance. This will allow even more families to receive what is necessary for their children's education. Applications for participation in the program can be submitted online through the 'Diia' app, which simplifies the process of receiving assistance. The ministry is actively studying the feedback on previous payments and responding to citizens' complaints, striving to ensure maximum coverage of the program and convenience for its users.
