No power outages in Ukraine on July 3: statement from Ukrenergo

Situation with electric supply in Ukraine

According to information from Ukrenergo, disseminated by Glavkom, there are no plans to introduce schedules for electricity outages in the country on July 3, 2024. Energy specialists recommend citizens, if possible, to shift the use of high-power household appliances to daylight hours — from 10:00 to 16:00 — to reduce the load on the network and optimize consumption.

On the night of July 2, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck the territory of Ukraine, causing some consumers to temporarily lose power. Residents of Kyiv as well as the Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv regions were affected by the outages. However, no planned restrictions on electricity supply were implemented across the country on July 2. The absence of rolling blackouts became possible due to a decrease in temperature in neighboring countries and an increase in electricity imports.

"Tomorrow, on Friday, it is not planned to impose consumption restrictions," emphasized Ukrenergo.

In addition, energy specialists appealed to citizens with a request: "Please use electricity economically during evening hours."

The fact that it was possible to avoid planned outages amid enemy attacks indicates a gradual stabilization of the country's energy system. This is extremely important for maintaining the usual standard of living for the population. Key factors included the cooling abroad and increased electricity supplies from abroad, which helped prevent serious disruptions in energy supply. The call from energy specialists to use resources wisely in the evening serves as a reminder of the need for rational use of electricity even during relatively calm periods.

Despite nighttime attacks from Russia, electricity has been maintained in some regions of Ukraine. This underscores the importance of current measures to stabilize the energy system, which allow avoiding planned outages even under tense conditions.
