From now on, traveling from Dnipro to Kharkiv and back is possible on the new regional service 854/853 Dnipro-Kharkiv-Dnipro. Four hours on the road from Dnipro to Kharkiv, a few hours to take care of your business, and returning the same day—the advantages are clear."

In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia has announced extra services to the Carpathian and Transcarpathian regions, along with an updated summer train schedule taking effect on June 28. The company is currently entering its busiest period of 2026, recording a steady 340,000 ticket requests daily. This reflects rising demand for rail travel, which is projected to increase from four applicants per seat to six or seven. Approximately 80,000 passengers are transported each day, highlighting the critical need for further development of Ukraine's railway network.

The launch of this new regional train between Dnipro and Kharkiv marks a significant step in improving Ukraine's transport infrastructure, particularly in reinstating links between important administrative centers. As demand for railway services grows, Ukrzaliznytsia is working to adapt to passenger needs, which could positively impact regional development. With new routes and an updated timetable, citizens now have greater flexibility to plan their trips and business engagements.

As the newly established train service enhances connectivity between Dnipro and Kharkiv, it's worth noting that Ukrzaliznytsia is also expanding its offerings with the introduction of a high-speed train linking Dnipro and Odesa. This development not only reflects the growing demand for efficient travel options in Ukraine but also signifies a broader commitment to improving regional transport.
