New Intercity Trains and Their Schedules

According to УНІАН — Туризм: Starting June 27–28, 2026, Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) will introduce new Intercity high-speed trains and increase the frequency of existing services as part of the summer timetable for the Kyiv-Odesa-Dnipro route. Specifically, from June 28, a new daily Intercity high-speed train, No. 753/754, will operate between Dnipro and Odesa. This marks the first regular high-speed Intercity connection between these two cities in the history of independent Ukraine.

Additionally, from June 27, a new daily Intercity high-speed train, No. 765/766, will run between Kyiv and Odesa. Ukrzaliznytsia will also boost the frequency of trains No. 763/764 (Kyiv-Odesa) and No. 748/747 (Kyiv-Ternopil) to six times a week, up from three. For the summer period, a new schedule has been established for high-speed electric trains operating on the Kyiv-Odesa-Dnipro triangle.

Ticket Demand and New Opportunities

Ukrzaliznytsia records 340,000 ticket requests daily and transports 80,000 passengers. On June 29, the company will switch to an updated summer schedule, with ticket sales for this period opening on June 9.

This setup allows the same rolling stock to sequentially serve multiple high-demand routes, making more efficient use of the existing fleet. As a result, passengers get more trips and more seats on the most popular routes during the summer season. - Ukrzaliznytsia Press Office

By introducing new high-speed trains and increasing service frequency, Ukrzaliznytsia is responding to growing travel demand during the summer season, which could boost tourist flows between key Ukrainian cities. The new Dnipro-Odesa route, a historic first, may also foster stronger economic and cultural ties between these regions, encouraging more travel and opening up new business opportunities. These changes highlight Ukrzaliznytsia's efforts to improve passenger services and adapt to consumer needs.

As Ukrainian Railways prepares to meet the increasing travel demand this summer, the introduction of the new high-speed trains is a significant step forward. With an impressive daily surge of 340,000 ticket requests, the enhanced services not only signify a response to passenger needs but also highlight the growing interconnectivity between major cities in Ukraine.
