Direct Rail Link to Chisinau Airport Launches in Test Phase, First Journey Set for April 13

Запускається тестування прямого залізничного сполучення з аеропортом Кишинева, перший рейс відбудеться 13 квітня.

New Cross-Border Rail Link Established by Ukrainian and Moldovan Railways

Ukrzaliznytsia, in partnership with Moldovan Railways, is initiating a trial stop for train No. 351 at Revaca station, located near Chisinau International Airport. This new logistical route extends the existing service from Kyiv to Chisinau by adding Revaca as a new stop. The inaugural journey on the updated schedule is planned for April 13, 2026. This development is part of ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity in Eastern Europe following regional disruptions.

Upon arrival at Revaca station, passengers will have access to a complimentary shuttle bus providing a direct transfer to Chisinau International Airport. This integrated service is designed to offer a more convenient airport connection for travelers moving between Ukraine and Moldova.

Expanded Commuter Rail Services

Additionally, starting April 11, two extra daily commuter trains will be introduced, which is expected to improve regional transport links. These initiatives by Ukrzaliznytsia and Moldovan Railways aim to refine cross-border logistics and passenger convenience. The improved access is particularly significant for Ukrainian travelers, for whom direct air routes have been limited.

The introduction of the Revaca stop represents a key advancement in the joint development of transport infrastructure between Ukraine and Moldova, enhancing airport accessibility. The supplementary commuter services are anticipated to boost travel comfort and foster regional connectivity, potentially encouraging increased tourism and economic exchange between the two nations.

As the new rail link enhances travel options, it's worth noting that Ukrzaliznytsia is also refining its suburban train schedules. Starting April 11, additional daily services will be launched, further improving regional connectivity.
