Ukrzaliznytsia Announces Schedule and Route Alterations
Due to ongoing shelling in the Sumy region, Ukraine's state railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, has implemented significant changes to train routes and schedules. These adjustments, which include introducing a new service and organizing passenger transfers, are a direct response to the security situation forcing a revision of several route networks.
New Routes, Transfers, and a Key Daily Service
Trains No. 45/46 (Uzhhorod – Kharkiv) and No. 113/114 (Uzhhorod – Kharkiv) will now run via Lubny, Myrhorod, Poltava, and Liubotyn. A crucial new daily train, No. 213/214 (Kharkiv – Sumy), has also been added. This service is vital for connections in both directions and will benefit residents of Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
For long-distance passengers, new transfer options are available in Kharkiv. From stations like Konotop, Vorozhba, Putyvl, Bakhmach, and Nizhyn, passengers can travel to Kharkiv on train No. 144/143 (Rakhiv – Sumy) and then transfer to train No. 214/213 (Sumy – Kharkiv). A transfer in Sumy to train No. 775/776 (Sumy – Kyiv) is also possible.
In several regions, Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily adjusted suburban train services. Some routes are now shortened, terminating at the Krolevets station, while service to the Snovsk station has been suspended.
