Meanwhile, the Russian army, losing on the battlefield, uses terrorist attacks on infrastructure, provocations, and operations under a conditional Ukrainian flag against the civilian population of the temporarily occupied territories. This was stated by representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrii Yusov during a broadcast on the FREEДОМ channel, commenting on the shelling of Donetsk.

According to him, the goal of these provocations is to undermine trust in Ukraine, primarily from international partners.
'There is information that units of the Russian army received instructions to collect fragments of foreign ammunition, that is, non-Soviet, Western-made. This concerns the 155 caliber, all munitions that can show 'involvement' of Ukraine in the shelling of Donetsk. These remnants of munitions are being deliberately brought to Donetsk today. And then we see staged films and reports,' Yusov revealed.
Through such provocations, Russia aims to make international partners stop economic and defense support for Ukraine.
In temporarily occupied Donetsk, explosions were heard on Thursday morning, December 15. The center of the city was under fire from rocket artillery systems, local Telegram channels report. Russian propagandists blame the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the shelling. At the same time, local residents reported sounds of 'launches' nearby.
