Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh faced disappointment at the Diamond League stage in London on July 19. Her result was 1.93 m, which earned her fourth place, and thus there were no medals. At the previous stage in Stockholm, she finished in fifth place.
I think there's no need to panic just yet. Of course, I want to jump higher because these are not the results I am capable of. The last two competitions have not showcased my potential. But there is nothing to worry about. We will train and prepare. The main event is the World Championships, and we will get ready for that.
The athlete herself noted that she recognizes the need to make changes to achieve results beyond two meters in height. The problem lies in the jumping technique, but the main challenge arises at a psychological level. Yaroslava spoke about difficulties with the arc and the necessity to make adjustments to her jumping technique.
