Increase in salaries for educational staff
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that provides for a 30% increase in salaries for educational staff starting from January 1, 2026. To implement this decision, 64.6 billion UAH has been allocated in the state budget for 2026. The increase covers employees of state and communal educational institutions, which includes:
- secondary education institutions,
- kindergartens,
- vocational schools,
- higher education institutions.
According to the new conditions, teachers will receive a basic allowance of 2000 UAH. Additional allowances for employees working in frontline areas will amount to 4000 UAH. Furthermore, from September 1, 2026, another increase in salaries by 20% is planned.
Increase in salaries in the housing and communal services sector
It is also worth noting that an increase in salaries for employees of the housing and communal services sector by 40% is planned starting from January 1, 2026. These changes aim to improve the financial situation of educational staff and support their work in the face of modern challenges.
