Cabinet Approves Funding for Heating Infrastructure
The Ukrainian government has approved a 3 billion UAH investment to install 216 block-modular boiler houses across the country. Out of this total, 966 million UAH will go to the Recovery Agency for projects in Kyiv, while over 2 billion UAH is earmarked for regional areas. All equipment must be operational by no later than October 1st. This initiative comes as Ukraine prepares for winter amid ongoing energy security challenges.
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasized that 'the key task for regional military administrations and communities is to quickly install and launch these facilities before the heating season begins.'
Her statement highlights the urgency of completing these projects on time to ensure residents have access to heat during the colder months.
Boosting Energy Security and Grid Stability
This government decision marks a critical step in preparing for the heating season, especially given the rising need for energy security and public comfort. Installing new boiler houses is expected to reduce strain on existing infrastructure and ensure reliable heat supply across regions—a particularly pressing concern amid potential disruptions to energy resources.
