Introduction of a new data access monitoring subsystem
The government has introduced a new subsystem for monitoring data access in the 'Trembita' system, which allows citizens to track access to their personal information. This initiative aims to enhance transparency in the processing of personal data and to protect citizens' rights.
How data access monitoring works
Citizens can track access to their data in real time. Notifications about access will be sent to users of the 'Diya' app. These notifications will contain important details such as:
- the name of the government agency
- the time of the request
- the reason for the request
This allows users to be aware of who is accessing their information and for what purpose.
It is worth noting that notifications will not be sent during pre-trial investigations or criminal proceedings. The monitoring mechanism operates automatically without additional settings, making it convenient and accessible for all users. Thus, the new subsystem provides an additional level of protection for personal data and fosters citizens' trust in government agencies.
The implementation of this subsystem is an important step towards protecting personal data in Ukraine, especially in the context of increasing digitalization and the use of personal information in various areas. The new initiative may contribute to greater awareness among citizens regarding their rights to privacy and control over their data. It may also increase trust in government institutions that process personal data, which is a crucial factor for the development of an open and accountable government.
