U.S. State Department reports when Russia will start its offensive in Ukraine

Держсекретар США озвучив терміни можливого початку наступу Росії в Україні.

The tense crisis in Ukraine could lead to an escalation of conflict in Donbas. Russia continues to deploy air defense systems in eastern Ukraine and has already grouped its forces at the border.

This is reported by Western officials. However, the U.S. is not asserting that these military actions are preparations for a new pro-Russian offensive aimed at seizing Ukrainian territory.

Some analysts say that President Vladimir Putin may not act until the European Union reassesses the situation in June to ease or not increase the economic sanctions imposed on Russia due to the annexation of Crimea and the invasion of eastern Ukraine. Others insist that perhaps Russia is taking steps to increase pressure on the Ukrainian government and force it to make concessions to the separatists on political and constitutional issues.

  • During this troubling time, more and more people are looking towards migration from Ukraine. You will be able to gather insights on all nuances, subtleties, and issues you may encounter.

In any case, the new military activity is a major concern. According to Western officials, Russia's actions grossly violate the ceasefire agreement signed by representatives of three European countries and Russia in February.

'Currently, the highest number of Russian air defense equipment since August is located in eastern Ukraine' noted Marie Harf, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, revealing details of the State Department's own investigation.

In recent weeks, the military situation in Ukraine has intensified. Last week, Russia stated that the training program for Ukrainian military personnel, for which 300 U.S. servicemen were sent for exercises in Ukraine, could significantly 'destabilize the situation.'

According to the U.S. State Department's statement, some of the Russian military's air defense systems in Ukraine have been moved closer to the front line. Terrorists also possess other types of weapons in eastern Ukraine that will be necessary to organize an attack.

Moreover, the U.S. claims that the Russian military is conducting intensive training of separatists in eastern Ukraine. The use of Russian reconnaissance drones in the exercises leaves no doubt that Russia is involved in training the separatists, U.S. State Department officials are confident.

At the same time, the American State Department did not disclose how many Russian soldiers are present at the border, including near the Russian city of Belgorod. However, one Western official, who requested anonymity, stated that Russia has deployed about 12 battalion tactical groups to the border. A battalion can number around 1,000 servicemen.
