In Ivano-Frankivsk, the cost of public transport has been reviewed for the second time in a short period of time on the city's transport fares. The new tariffs will take effect from April 16 and will depend on the payment method.
This is stated in the decision of the executive committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council from April 8.
Public transport fares in Ivano-Frankivsk 2026: new tariffs
According to the decision of the city council's executive committee from April 8, bus and trolleybus fares will rise to 25 hryvnias.
The new tariffs are as follows:

Galka card — 15 hryvnias

Student Galka card — 12 hryvnias

Bank card or contactless payment — 20 hryvnias

Cash with the driver — 25 hryvnias.
The prices for travel tickets have also been updated:

Galka card — 55 hryvnias

Unlimited travel for 30 days — 750 hryvnias

Student unlimited pass — 600 hryvnias.
Reasons for the increase in transport tariffs in Ivano-Frankivsk
This is already the second increase in fare in the last month. In March 2026, temporary tariffs of 20 hryvnias were in effect in the city, which were implemented until April 15.
The city council explains the fare review by the situation in the fuel and energy markets, which directly affect the costs of carriers.
At the same time, the previous significant price increase occurred in June 2024, when fares rose by 50%. Since then, prices have remained unchanged until the latest executive committee decisions.
