Ukrainian Railway Workers Under Fire: How UZ Operates During the War

Працівники залізниці України: незламність та присвята в умовах бойових дій

The National Museum of the History of Ukraine has opened an engaging multimedia exhibition 'Iron People', which tells about Ukrainian railway workers during the Russo-Ukrainian War. The exhibition features the stories of over 176,000 employees of Ukrzaliznytsia, who continued to work even under fire, saving people and restoring infrastructure.

The project author is Dutch photographer and documentary filmmaker Jelle Krings, who captured the life of railway workers and their vital role in the country's life during the war. The exhibition is part of the international project 'Iron People: War and Life Along Ukraine's Railways', which aims to highlight the resilience, bravery, and courage of Ukrainian railway workers.

The event received support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine and participation from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Alle Dorhout, which is an important step in honoring and supporting the work of Ukrainian railway workers.
