Occupants in Crimea are recruiting children for shooting in churches: CNS data

Окупантські сили в Криму залучають дітей до військових вправ у релігійних закладах.

In the city of Saki, another case of the militarization of minors has been recorded at the Holy Illinsky temple. Militants of the 'Bars-Crimea' formation conducted training sessions with firearms for so-called 'Orthodox scouts'. Under the supervision of priests, children were shown automatic weapons and briefed on how to handle them. This information was disseminated by 'Glavkom', citing the Center for National Resistance (CNS).

According to CNS, such activities are part of a systematic strategy of the occupants. They use churches for military training, masking militarization under the guise of 'spiritual and patriotic education'. Priests act as intermediaries legitimizing the presence of weapons in the children's environment.

The Russian Orthodox Church collaborates with military groups, providing logistics for the front and using church infrastructure for military needs. This is confirmed by events in Saki, where religious facilities are being transformed into elements of the mobilization system, violating children's rights and shaping the perception of combat actions as a 'God-pleasing cause'.

In temporarily occupied territories, the Russian administration is imposing new restrictions on schoolchildren. They face phone checks, bans on using certain services, and the spread of military propaganda through educational institutions.

Under the pretext of 'concern for safety' and allegedly 'parental mistakes', children are forced to show the contents of their devices.

European media have drawn attention to serious violations of children's rights and have appealed to human rights organizations to respond to this situation.
