Ukrainians have become more optimistic: survey

Almost 90% of Ukrainians are looking into 2023 with optimism, while only 6% feel pessimistic.

Regarding changes in specific areas, the best ratings are in the country's defense capability (90%) and Ukraine's international image (86%). The survey results were published by the sociological group 'Rating'.

'Compared to last year's research, the figures are more optimistic,' sociologists write.

This year, twice as many Ukrainians are inclined to hope for better outcomes compared to last year: 65% versus 31%.

The number of those who believe that nothing will change has almost tripled over the year: 12% versus 34%.

Optimistic sentiments are observed among 89% of surveyed citizens from the center (93%), south (90%), west (87%), and east (84%) of Ukraine. This is 15% more than last year.

The victory of Ukraine in the war with the Russian Federation will be the liberation of all territories, including Crimea and Donbas, Ukrainians responded.

Ukrainians trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine the most.

Support for joining NATO has reached a historical record in Ukraine.
