Individual heat points in Ukraine: step-by-step implementation
Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Kostyantyn Kovalchuk, explained that individual heat points (IHPs) are special devices that automatically adjust the heating system in a building. This project aims at energy savings, ensuring comfort for residents, and rational use of resources. According to Kovalchuk, the benefits of implementing IHPs are obvious for both citizens and the state.
“Individual heat points are a European standard. This will help the country become more energy-independent, and residents can enjoy comfort while paying reasonable bills”
It is noted that a corresponding legislative framework for implementing this initiative is already being developed. Installation of IHPs will become mandatory three years after the law is adopted. During this time, all necessary documents will be prepared, and rules for connection and control will be established.
If the project is successfully implemented, residents will have the opportunity to install IHPs independently without restrictions on choosing a supplier or accepting offers from 'Teplokomunenergo'. It is important to note that the costs of installing equipment will gradually be included in the tariffs, distributing the financial burden among consumers.
The gradual implementation of individual heat points in Ukraine will contribute to reducing energy resource costs, increasing comfort for residents, and rational use of resources, which is an important step towards energy efficiency and sustainable development of the country.
