High Anti-Corruption Court Imposes Bail
Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has set bail for a member of the Kyiv Regional Council suspected of misappropriating agricultural produce from state-owned enterprises of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAAS). This pre-trial measure was applied following a request by a detective from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and was approved by a prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO). Bail Amounts and Conditions of Restraint
The bail amount for the council member is set at 990,000 hryvnias. Additionally, an accomplice has been assigned bail of 4.9 million hryvnias. The court partially granted the request for the pre-trial restraint measures submitted to the HACC.
According to the court's ruling, the deputy is prohibited from leaving the boundaries of Kyiv Oblast and the city of Kyiv without permission from the investigator, prosecutor, or court. He is also required to inform the investigator, prosecutor, and court of any change in his place of residence or employment. Furthermore, the suspect has been ordered to refrain from communicating with other suspects and witnesses in this case.
