Violation of Ukrainian legislation


Regina Shaidullina, Anastasia Romanova, and Yana Sotiyeva participated in the training camp of the Russian women's weightlifting team in temporarily occupied Alushta (Crimea) in 2022. Kristina Novitskaya, who was not present at the camp, also illegally visited Crimea.


Russian weightlifters entered the territory of occupied Crimea by circumventing customs and border control, thereby violating the legislation of the country.



Threat to national security


According to the Base of Ukrainian Sports resource, Russian female weightlifters who participated in the camp in Alushta pose a threat to Ukraine's national interests. The demand to initiate criminal cases against them is justified.


Moreover, Russian military personnel, including Anastasia Romanova, Artem Okulov, Daniil Vagaitsev, Zulafath Garaev, Georgiy Kuptsov, and others, were also allowed to participate in the World Championship.



Russian weightlifters who violated Ukrainian legislation have been allowed to participate in the World Weightlifting Championship, highlighting the danger they pose to national security. Measures are required to hold them accountable.
