VAT Exemption for Ground Robotic Complexes Approved
Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has voted to remove value-added tax (VAT) from the supply of ground robotic complexes (GRCs) intended for the country's military. This tax break will remain in effect until the martial law period ends or is lifted. The move is designed to accelerate the delivery of cutting-edge technology to Ukraine's defense forces, ensuring they are better equipped on the battlefield.
To date, Ukrainian defense units have received 1,028 ground robotic systems, with a total value of 487,203,212 UAH. These systems were procured through the DOT-Chain Defence online weapons marketplace, highlighting the military's growing reliance on innovative digital platforms. “the adopted changes will help meet the needs of combat units for ground robotic complexes and ensure efficient use of budget funds in supplying these systems to the defense forces.”

Separately, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and the General Staff of the Armed Forces to ramp up GRC production significantly, aiming for 50,000 units this year.
