Mobile Resilience Hubs Established in Kyiv
In response to prolonged power outages affecting parts of Kyiv, soldiers and veterans of the Triyitsya unit have set up mobile support centers. This initiative aims to assist the capital's residents during severe weather and ongoing energy challenges. On January 24, the Triyitsya's own Angels of Triyitsya outreach service joined the effort, deploying a food truck to provide people with hot drinks and meals.
A Personal Response to Current Hardships
The defenders of Triyitsya emphasize that this project is their personal answer to the difficulties of the present. As Yan Klishaiev stated:
“Defenders know how to survive in extremely tough conditions and could not stand aside. This is our personal initiative, which was supported by our commander, Andrii Biletskyi. While officials search for those to blame, the military acts.”
Olena Tolkachova also noted that the mobile resilience hubs offer diverse forms of aid:
“Some need rehabilitation and prosthetics. Others just need warmth, a hot cup of tea, and a place to charge their phone. We help with whatever we can.”
Triyitsya plans to launch permanent resilience hubs, which would allow them to support the community even more effectively during this difficult period. This initiative by the military and veterans serves as a crucial example of local solidarity and responsibility in a crisis. In a situation where state services cannot always swiftly meet public needs, such actions demonstrate how a community can unite to provide support. The planned launch of stationary hubs could significantly enhance the level of aid for those who need it most.
