Electric Scooters Arrive at Unbroken Center to Aid Veterans' Recovery

Lviv's Unbroken rehabilitation center has received 20 electric scooters for veterans with amputations. The donation was made by representatives of the Christian Corps, the Hope Youth Initiative Charitable Foundation, along with the foundation's supervisory board chairman Valeriy Dubil and president Vita Prysiazhniuk. Partners Artem Cheplyhin and Anna Laktionova also joined the effort.

Since the start of the full-scale war, over 24,000 Ukrainians have received treatment at the Unbroken center. The facility integrates more than 20 areas of support, including:

  • emergency care
  • reconstructive surgery
  • prosthetics
  • physical and psychological rehabilitation

The Christian Corps, which unites active-duty service members from combat units of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), is a strong backer of veteran-focused initiatives.

‘Scooters for Heroes’ Program Expands

Under the ‘Scooters for Heroes’ initiative—through which these electric scooters were provided—more than 100 veterans who have lost limbs have already received mobility support. This program was developed in collaboration with EDG Group and Sviatoslav Nechyporenko.

“The men undergoing rehabilitation have already done the hardest part—they endured. If we can ease their path to recovery even a little, we must do it,” said Ihor Yankov Yanki, a fighter with the Christian Corps.

Valeriy Dubil stressed the importance of veteran support:

“Together with the Christian Corps and our partners, we are delivering electric scooters to defenders, equipping hospitals and rehab centers, backing training programs for veterans, and launching initiatives for their families. All veteran-related projects are a priority for us.”

This delivery is part of a broader support framework aimed at improving life for veterans after service. Such programs not only restore mobility but also enhance quality of life, helping former soldiers transition back to everyday activities.

The Unbroken center continues its vital mission of aiding veterans, facilitating their recovery and reintegration into active life. The ‘Scooters for Heroes’ program reflects a growing recognition across charitable organizations of the need to prioritize rehabilitation and social inclusion for this population.

As the Unbroken Center continues to enhance its support for veterans, it's important to recognize the collaborative efforts of various organizations in aiding wounded soldiers' rehabilitation. For instance, the partnership between the Hope Foundation and GUR fighters demonstrates a similar commitment to providing essential recovery resources. Such initiatives are vital in ensuring that those who have served receive the assistance they need during their healing journey.
