USA temporarily lifted sanctions against Syria

At the same time, Washington stated that it will continue to review Syria's status as a state sponsor of terrorism. The US Treasury decided to lift most of the trade restrictions that were in place under the so-called 'Caesar Act' – a collective name for sanctions imposed during Donald Trump's previous presidency.

A domestic conflict erupted in the Democratic Party of the USA after eight Democratic senators supported a temporary budget proposed by Republicans to end the shutdown. The vote took place on Sunday, and the document was approved despite resistance from some Democrats.
