As a result of reviewing the list of critical infrastructure facilities, the government was able to free up energy resources. The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, announced that by December 24, this resource is scheduled to be redirected for the needs of the population. This will be one of the steps to balance the energy system and reduce the number of blackouts for residents.

Government Plans for the Future

According to the report, up to 1 GW of freed-up energy resources will be redirected. The Prime Minister noted that the government's work is also aimed at increasing electricity imports, restoring damaged generation, and boosting individual energy generation.
