Artists have refused to perform with 'Kvartal 95' due to the corruption scandal involving co-owner Timur Mindich. In protest, the 'Homin' choir, singer KOLA, and Dorofeeva expressed their support for the refusal to perform.
The boycott was caused by high-profile corruption cases in which Timur Mindich is involved. The 'Kvartal 95' studio stated in its address that it will not engage the collective in political manipulation and remains committed to its beliefs.
The NABU has reported suspicions against seven individuals in schemes involving large kickbacks in the energy sector. Some of the figures have already been detained, while Mindich, according to media reports, has left the country before the searches.
Currently, the 'Kvartal 95' studio promised to remain independent and continue its work regardless of the difficulties it may face.
