Military musician after coma and injuries

Olha Rukavishnikova, known as Karateist, once played the violin and performed concerts after graduating from the conservatory. However, her life changed drastically when she joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine following the Russian invasion. During combat, she sustained numerous injuries, lost an eye, and even ended up in a coma.

“I understood that this was definitely unconsciousness because I couldn’t move anything, couldn’t do anything, didn’t understand almost anything. So I had three options for what was happening. The first was that I was still in school, in the eighth grade, and everything else was a dream. I was just sleeping, but it was some deep dream. The second assumption was that maybe I had '200'. And everything that was happening here was no longer here. And the third assumption was actually the correct one, that I had another injury, but just more serious than all the previous ones, so I didn’t understand anything,” - says the military.

After two months of recovery, Olha continues to serve in the 411th drone regiment 'Yastruby'.

Actions of soldiers under fire

Denys Prudnikov, known as Moldovan, is the only survivor from the group of soldiers who survived an attack in Donetsk region. During the assault, he sustained leg injuries but managed to walk six kilometers to the positions of the Ukrainian forces.

The President of Ukraine awarded the officer of the 'Svoboda' battalion, Vladyslav Stotskyi, the title of Hero of Ukraine for his heroic actions defending positions for 68 days during the defense in Donetsk region.

The events described in the news reveal a number of impressive facts about the life and service of military personnel in wartime conditions. They demonstrate the courage and dedication of Ukrainian defenders who are ready to continue their service in defense of the country even after harsh trials.
