'Easter Garden' Exhibition
Artist and volunteer Angelika Rudnytska presents her exhibition 'Easter Garden' at the 'Tsinnosti' space. The showcase features over 40 unique works created using her original needlework technique. These pieces form part of her long-running series 'The Garden of Virtues' or 'The Pysanka Tree'. Remarkably, some of the exhibits survived the Russian occupation of Kherson, where they were packed away and stored in a mined basement.
These surviving works have previously been shown as part of larger exhibition projects, including internationally. The 'Easter Garden' exhibition will run until April 16th. Viewing hours are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Admission is free, allowing all visitors to engage with the artist's work.
Angelika Rudnytska: 'This is an emotionally difficult time when it can be hard to even start drawing. But art inspires. People come, create, sing – and in this way, they support each other. It's a form of art therapy and the energy boost we all need.'
The Exhibition's Social Role
'Easter Garden' is not merely an art display but also a significant social project that supports the community during challenging times. The exhibition is located at 69 Volodymyrska Street.
The exhibition underscores the role of art as a means of support and unity during hardship. The collection, featuring works that have endured war and occupation, demonstrates the resilience of creativity and its power to bring hope. This exhibition offers a poignant look at how Ukrainian cultural life persists and adapts under immense pressure. The free, open access is a vital aspect of its therapeutic and socially supportive function in the face of contemporary challenges.
