Do Ukrainians need a visa to Ireland
Ukrainian citizens usually need a visa to travel to Ireland if they do not have another document or legal status that allows entry without it. Ireland is not part of the Schengen area, so the rules that apply during travels to most European Union countries do not automatically apply to it. Even if a Ukrainian citizen has a biometric passport and can visit Schengen zone countries without a visa for short trips, this alone does not grant the right to enter Ireland.
Before preparing the documents, it is important to define the purpose of the trip. For a short tourist visit, visiting relatives or friends, a short-term visa of category C is usually considered. If studying, working, long-term residing, or family reunification is planned, the procedure may be different. For such cases, it is not enough to simply obtain a tourist visa: one must meet the requirements of the relevant category and, if necessary, apply for an additional permit.
