Waste Processing Plant Undergoes Upgrade

Yevhen Barakh, the owner of a waste processing plant in Zhytomyr, has announced that his facility is modernizing its equipment by sourcing components exclusively from Ukrainian manufacturers. He stated that orders for parts are being placed with companies across the country, including in regions near the front lines.

Barakh explained that the plant is procuring individual units and equipment modules from domestic producers. This approach supports local industry and provides work for enterprises in various regions, contributing to broader economic resilience. Specific orders have been placed with manufacturers in cities such as:

  • Sumy
  • Berdychiv
  • Ivano-Frankivsk
  • Kharkiv
"I had individual units, separate equipment modules made right here in Ukraine," Barakh emphasized.

He added that this strategy helps sustain related sectors of the economy. "Through this direction, we can lift up many other sectors of the economy," he said. The equipment modernization at the waste plant represents a significant step for both the enterprise's development and the economies of the regions fulfilling the orders.

Bolstering Domestic Production

Barakh's statement reflects a growing trend in Ukraine of supporting local manufacturing, a crucial effort amid ongoing economic challenges. Modernizing the waste processing facility through collaboration with producers from different regions not only improves technological processes but also helps strengthen the national economy. This domestic sourcing model could become an important factor in enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian industry internationally, showcasing a shift toward greater economic self-reliance.
