Russian Invader Casualties as of February 3, 2026
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated figures on Russian losses as of the morning of February 3, 2026. According to the report, Russia's total personnel losses have reached approximately 1,242,290 individuals, with 760 of those casualties occurring in the last 24-hour period.
These figures are reported on the 1,441st day of the full-scale war in Ukraine. In addition to personnel, Russian forces have sustained significant equipment losses. Specifically, over the past day, Ukrainian forces have destroyed:
- 53 artillery systems (total destroyed: 36,855 units)
- 6 tanks (total destroyed: 11,633 tanks)
- 23,985 armored combat vehicles (an increase of 4)
- 1,292 air defense systems (an increase of 1)
- 76,738 vehicles and fuel tankers (an increase of 153)
As of February 3, the number of destroyed operational-tactical level UAVs has risen by 1,171 units, reaching a total of 122,388. These daily reports highlight the severe and ongoing attrition of Russian military assets. The conflict, which began with Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022, continues to exact a heavy toll.
The Strategic Impact of Sustained Losses
The data indicates that intense combat operations persist in eastern Ukraine, where both sides are suffering significant casualties. The high rate of equipment and personnel losses may influence the future strategy of Russian forces and the overall situation on the front lines.
In the context of a protracted war, such figures can serve as an indicator of the resource capabilities of both sides and their readiness to continue the conflict. Sustaining these levels of attrition presents a major long-term challenge for any military.
