Yanukovych has stopped trusting Putin

According to unconfirmed reports, Viktor Yanukovych's family is seeking asylum in Belarus. Last week, the former president's son, Viktor Viktorovych Yanukovych Jr., held consultations on this matter during a phone call with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. In particular, Yanukovych Jr. expressed concerns that his father could become a bargaining chip in the political dialogue between Kyiv and Moscow. Specifically, there are allegations that as a result of multilateral agreements, the former president may be handed over to the official authorities of Ukraine. In response, Alexander Lukashenko indicated that he also believes that the former president should return to Ukraine, but if Viktor Yanukovych wishes to move to Belarus, he is ready to provide asylum to him and his family. What is particularly interesting is that during the conversation, Yanukovych Jr. allegedly also mentioned that in the event of a positive development, Viktor Yanukovych could head a new state formation - Novorossiya, which should include the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

I would like to emphasize once again that the information comes from a single source, but I trust it sufficiently to disclose such data.
