Born on September 12, 1999, in the village of Bruskynske, Kherson region, he attended school in the village of Ishchenka. He later trained as an electric locomotive driver and rolling stock repair mechanic at the Kryvyi Rih Professional Transport and Metallurgical Lyceum, a career path he followed by working as an assistant locomotive driver.

Military Service and Legacy

Conscripted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2019, Andrii served with a military unit in Rivne. Following the full-scale invasion, he was transferred to the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, where he continued his duties. His bravery in combat was recognized in 2025 with the award of a military valor medal for courage. His story is one of countless young Ukrainians who have answered the call to defend their nation.

Andrii's family had been displaced from the Kherson region by the war, relocating to Rivne in June 2022. He is survived by his mother and two sisters. His mother shared her memories of him:

“He was a good child, a caring son. In his free time, he loved being with friends and playing sports. The army occupied the main part of his conscious adult life.”

His death underscores the tragic human cost of the war for Ukrainian servicemen and their families. Andrii not only gave his life in the fight for his country but also leaves behind a legacy of devotion and bravery that will be cherished by his loved ones. This loss serves as another stark reminder of the price Ukrainians continue to pay in the ongoing conflict.
