Eduard Petryk was born on June 9, 1988, in Rivne. He attended the local School No. 28 and continued his education at the College of Technology and Design. He earned a higher education degree from the Stepan Demyanchuk International University of Economics and Humanities, qualifying as a physical education and sports teacher. He was actively involved in sports, having trained at the Veres Children and Youth Sports School and played for the futsal club Cardinal.
Eduard held various jobs in Rivne and abroad, but in May 2025 he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His fellow soldiers and loved ones remembered his optimism and dedication. His sister noted:
"He never complained about his service. He always remained an optimist—probably to shield us from all the negativity so we wouldn't worry about him. Eduard was passionate about sports his entire life and played for various teams. He was a sincere and bright person—he never judged others and was always ready to help."
Eduard Petryk was laid to rest on January 21 at the cemetery in the village of Veresneve, Rivne district. He is survived by his mother, sister, and son, who will remember him as a courageous defender and a devoted man. His death is a painful blow to his family and all who knew him.
