Смерть Фелікса Баранцького в Часовому Яру: спогади про відомого розвідника.

Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Felix Baranytskyi.

Felix Baranytskyi was seriously injured on April 13, 2024, while carrying out one of his tasks in the city of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region. The body of the soldier could not be evacuated immediately due to intense shelling, and when evacuation was possible, his wife was able to identify Felix by his tattoos. This was reported by

citing the Chernivtsi Regional Council.

Felix Vyacheslavovych Baranytskyi was born on July 28, 1989, in Chernivtsi. He was a student at the Faculty of History, Political Science, and International Relations of Chernivtsi National University named after Yuri Fedkovych. There he met his future wife Angela.

After his studies, he served his mandatory military service, and in 2015 he went to the ATO as a volunteer. He returned after a year and worked as a manager in international companies. His first son, Yakiv, was born in the family.

Despite his interest in military service, Felix had a rich civilian life. He liked the army and had thoughts of staying in the military after the ATO on a contract. But he always found some activities for himself. In his free time, he went hiking. He spoke foreign languages well, especially English. He enjoyed spending time with his family and valued his friends, with whom he had many left.

When the full-scale war began, Felix Baranytskyi once again went to the front as a volunteer. He initially served as an instructor at the 184th training center of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy.

Later, Baranytskyi transferred to the special forces battalion of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine 'Artan'. He participated in the defense of Bakhmut, the operation to regain control of ‘Boyka's drilling rigs’ near the Crimean coast, the defense of Kupiansk, a number of special operations in combat zones, and on the territory of the occupiers. For his courage and dedication, he was awarded the GUR MO badge and the Gold Cross from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Felix loved our sons very much. The younger one was born in 2023. He spent time with him, engaged in activities, taught him. The man left a memory of himself as kind and reliable. He was a brave and strong person. Faithful to his convictions. He was a man of action, not words, recalls his wife.

Felix Baranytskyi died on April 13, 2024, after receiving severe injuries while carrying out one of his tasks in the city of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region. The body of the soldier could not be evacuated immediately due to intense shelling, so for ten days he was considered missing. The defender was buried in Chernivtsi - in the cemetery on Zelenaya Street, next to his relatives.

Hlavkom joins the moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for the homeland. We remember those who fell at the hands of the Russian invaders, light candles in memory, and bow our heads in sorrow during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack of hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.

In the context of honoring the memory of those who died for the homeland, let us not forget about the war victims and heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine, about their courage and devotion to ideals. Let us pay proper tribute and memory to those who fought and died for the future of our country.
