Kyiv Arson Convictions
In July 2024, three men were sentenced to 15 years in prison for setting fire to relay cabinets belonging to Ukrainian Railways and a military-owned vehicle in Kyiv. The court imposed the penalty along with confiscation of their property and ordered them to fully compensate the railway company for all damages incurred.
The defendants torched two relay cabinets for Ukrainian Railways in exchange for $200. They also set fire to a military NISSAN NAVARA, for which they were promised $1,000.
