Iran has no intention of stopping uranium enrichment. The country’s representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, stated that uranium enrichment is legal and in accordance with international agreements. At the same time, Iran is open to negotiations but disagrees with the US demand for a complete ban on production.
'Enrichment is our right, an inalienable right, and we want to exercise this right,' emphasized Iravani.
IAEA inspectors currently do not have access to Iran's nuclear facilities. In response to statements from the American president, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, emphasized the country's impossibility of capitulation to the US.
President Trump, for his part, agreed to the possibility of lifting sanctions against Iran if the country shows peaceful intentions.
