The National Bank has updated the procurement prices for gold scrap. This is because world gold quotes are decreasing again — the price of the metal is falling due to improved relations between the USA and China. This has also affected the Ukrainian market. This is reported by 24 Channel with a link to the NBU.
How much does a gram of gold cost by assay
As of October 29, 2025, the price of gold scrap in Ukraine is:
-
333 assay — 1,784.54 UAH/g
-
375 assay — 2,009.61 UAH/g
-
500 assay — 2,679.49 UAH/g
-
583 assay — 3,124.28 UAH/g
-
585 assay — 3,135.00 UAH/g
-
750 assay — 4,019.23 UAH/g
-
900 assay — 4,823.07 UAH/g
-
999 assay — 5,353.61 UAH/g.
To determine how much pure metal is in the product, you need to divide the assay by 10. For example, the mark of 585 means that the alloy contains 58.5% pure gold.
Global trends: gold prices fall
The price of an ounce of gold on the international market has fallen by another 1% — to $3,941.65. For comparison: on October 20, the ounce reached a record $4,381.21. Thus, since the beginning of the year, the metal has become cheaper by more than 50%.
The NBU has changed the price of bank metal
The regulator has also updated the procurement prices for bank gold: one gram costs 5,413.10 UAH. This is significantly lower than a month ago when the price exceeded 5,800 UAH.
Analysts note that the decline may continue if economic tensions between the USA and China continue to decrease.
