The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the President of France Emmanuel Macron, where they discussed issues related to ending the war in Donbas and stopping Russia's aggression. According to Zelensky, it is necessary to continue to increase pressure on the Russian Federation, to enhance support for Ukraine, and to develop security guarantees.
During the meeting, special attention was given to issues of defense cooperation between the countries, the development of relevant industries, and strengthening air defense and the energy system. Zelensky thanked France for its support in adopting European Union sanctions against Russia.
Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media: 'We talked about the consequences of Russian strikes on Ukraine and strengthening air defense and the resilience of our energy system - this is currently one of the key priorities.'
'Thank you to France and personally to Emmanuel for the support. We appreciate all the assistance provided for the protection of lives,' the President of Ukraine concluded.
