The final LNG tankers dispatched before the recent escalation of conflict are expected to reach their ports within the next 10 days. Simultaneously, worldwide LNG supplies are threatened with a shortage following the disruption of shipments from the Persian Gulf. Qatar, which accounts for roughly one-fifth of global LNG exports, has halted shipments after the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. This follows missile attacks on the Ras Laffan gas complex, which caused production disruptions and sent gas prices soaring in Europe and Asia.
Furthermore, Iranian missile strikes have damaged the world's largest LNG export facility.
