Ukraine Imposes Sanctions on Russian Military-Industrial Complex
On April 4, 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted decrees implementing a decision by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to expand sanctions lists. These measures target individuals and entities linked to Russia's military-industrial complex, as well as those involved in sanctions evasion and illegal activities in Crimea. - port machinery;
Additionally, aviation industry enterprises working on parts for Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171, Mi-172, and Mi-14 helicopters have been sanctioned.
A separate sanctions decision targets 7 individuals and 11 legal entities implicated in sanctions evasion, the production of parts for Kh-101, Kh-59M2/M2A, and Iskander-K missiles, as well as illegal business operations in occupied territories and the construction of the Crimean Bridge. As of March 2026, a total of 1,191 Ukrainian citizens are under NSDC sanctions.
Vladyslav Vlasiuk emphasized that pressure on the Russian military-industrial complex will only intensify, both from Ukraine and in coordination with its international partners.
