Ukrainian Defense Forces Launch Strikes
President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out attacks on a military enterprise in the Russian city of Kirov and an oil facility located nearly 1,350 kilometers away. The operations aimed to destroy infrastructure supporting Russia's military needs. This marks a significant escalation in Ukraine's ability to hit deep into Russian territory, targeting assets critical to Moscow's war effort.
Specifically, the strike targeted the Avitek plant, which manufactures guided anti-aircraft missiles, ejection seats, and supplies components for the engines of Kh-101 and Kh-59M2 missiles. On July 24, a Flamingo cruise missile was launched against the Avitek facility, underscoring the deliberate focus of Ukrainian forces on dismantling enemy military infrastructure.

Zelensky also reported hitting an oil facility at such a great distance. “Our long-range sanctions also worked at a distance of almost 1,350 kilometers against an oil facility. There were other strikes as well,” the president noted.
Logistics Hubs Targeted
A key aspect of the operation involved striking three Wildberries logistics hubs located in Shushary near St. Petersburg, the Utkina Zavod industrial zone in Leningrad Oblast, and in temporarily occupied Simferopol. Wildberries confirmed that operations at two of the complexes near St. Petersburg have been temporarily suspended.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of operations against Russian logistics that supply the occupier's army with essential resources: “It is important that the operation continues against Russian logistics, which provides the occupier's army with components for drones, navigation equipment, and gear.”
