Zelensky on the war with Russia: why it cannot be compared to the Middle East

Президент України Володимир Зеленський пояснює унікальність конфлікту з країною-агресором та розглядає відмінності між цими війнами.

President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed the specifics of the war in Ukraine, which differs from conflicts in the Middle East. According to him, Ukrainians are fighting against the Russian army, which makes this conflict unique.

“I do not want to belittle or exaggerate any country, but we cannot compare what is happening in the Middle East with what is happening here. It is a completely different scale of war. It is a different history,” Zelensky emphasized.

Furthermore, the head of state expressed his opinion on the end of the war and the stance of U.S. President Donald Trump. He believes that decisive pressure on Russia is necessary, as diplomacy cannot stop aggression right now.

In his statements, Zelensky emphasized the uniqueness of the conflict in Ukraine due to the direct involvement of the Russian army and the importance of using forceful means to achieve peace in the region. The events in Eastern Ukraine remain one of the main issues of national security for the country, and a way out of this situation can only be achieved through pressure on the aggressor.
