Ukraine's Wartime Export Strategy
In a private briefing with journalists, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy detailed the nation's export strategy during the ongoing conflict. Zelenskyy also mentioned the readiness of Middle Eastern countries to invest in long-term contracts and provide technological support. He revealed that a major drone sector project is under discussion with the United States, commenting: “With America, we wanted to build the largest Drone Deal, which would incorporate all our production facilities.” The Ukrainian government is also prepared to consider additional export proposals from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense.
Amid global trends, Ukraine ranked first in the world for arms imports during the 2021-2025 period. Concurrently, Russian arms exports over the same timeframe sharply declined, falling by nearly two-thirds.
