Belarus Aids Russia in the War Against Ukraine

European Commission spokesperson Anitta Hipper stated that Belarus continues to assist Russia in its war against Ukraine, emphasizing that Kyiv has a full right to self-defense. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has demanded that Belarusian authorities dismantle signal relay equipment located on towers near Ukraine's border. Zelenskyy gave Belarus’s leadership one week to comply, warning that if they refuse, Ukraine will destroy the equipment on its own.

Anitta Hipper: 'Zelenskyy’s threat is justified, as the relays are used to coordinate strikes by Russian and Iranian drones on Ukrainian territory.'

She also pointed to Belarus’s provocative actions against the European Union, including airspace violations and the weaponization of migration flows. Zelenskyy noted that Belarus has repeatedly received signals from Ukraine to stop aiding Russia, and that the relay issue is directly tied to Ukrainian casualties.

Upcoming Meeting Between Putin and Lukashenko

Additionally, it has been reported that following Zelenskyy’s statement, a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko is set to take place in the near future. Belarusian authorities have already been briefed on the matter through intelligence and security channels.

This situation highlights the strained relations between Ukraine and Belarus, as well as Minsk’s role in providing military support to Moscow. Zelenskyy’s demand to remove the relay equipment underscores Kyiv’s growing concern over security and the intensification of Russian military operations. The anticipated meeting between Putin and Lukashenko could influence the conflict’s trajectory and Belarus’s regional stance.

As tensions escalate, Zelenskyy's ultimatum to Belarus reflects not only immediate security concerns but also the broader implications of Belarus's ongoing collaboration with Russia.
