Zelenskyy Issues Ultimatum to Lukashenko Over Relay Stations: 'Take Them Down or We Will'
Ukraine's President Delivers Demands to Belarus
According to ХВИЛЯ: In an interview with Ukrainian outlet TSN, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko a one-week deadline to dismantle relay stations on Belarusian territory. If Minsk fails to comply, Kyiv is prepared to carry out the demolition itself. According to Zelenskyy, these transmitters enable Russian drones to strike Ukrainian cities with greater precision. He noted that Ukraine has repeatedly called on Belarus to remove the equipment but received no response from the authorities in Minsk. This demand reflects a broader pattern of Ukraine pressing neighboring states to halt any support-direct or indirect-for Russia's military operations.
Remarks on the Polish President
Zelenskyy also addressed Polish President Karol Nawrocki's decision to strip him of the Order of the White Eagle. The Ukrainian leader views this move as a product of internal political maneuvering in Poland, tied to upcoming elections and a struggle for the prime minister's position.
Zelenskyy stated: 'I see this solely as an electoral process. President Karol Nawrocki is fighting for his party's prime ministerial seat against Prime Minister Tusk. We have nothing to do with it; it is their internal matter.'
He drew a parallel between Nawrocki's approach and that of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, calling it 'a bad story' that 'I believe will end badly.'
Zelenskyy recalled his first meeting with Nawrocki, during which the Polish leader gave him a book about the Volyn tragedy. 'I visited him on my first official trip, and his gift to me-handed over with a handshake-was a book about the Volyn tragedy. I never mentioned it, never told anyone, and just lived with it quietly. Now we are speaking openly because he is taking steps I consider wrong,' the Ukrainian president said.
Additionally, Zelenskyy revealed new details about Ukraine's FP-2 drones, which have already struck targets near Tyumen, roughly 2,070 kilometers away. He stated that these drones have the potential to reach objects over 3,000 kilometers away. 'They hit us, and we will respond every day. We will go further because we know where their military factories, oil depots, and gas storage facilities are,' he emphasized.
Ukraine's leadership continues to pursue an assertive international strategy to safeguard its interests and adapt to evolving security challenges in the region. Zelenskyy's ultimatum to Lukashenko underscores the seriousness with which Kyiv views threats linked to Russia, while also highlighting the need for regional security cooperation. At the same time, his political commentary on the Polish president points to rising tensions in Ukraine-Poland relations-a dynamic that could affect bilateral collaboration amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.
As tensions escalate, it's crucial to understand the broader implications of Zelenskyy's ultimatum. This demand for the removal of military equipment from Belarus not only highlights Ukraine's urgent security concerns but also reflects ongoing regional dynamics.
