Extension of Martial Law in Ukraine
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted bills to the Verkhovna Rada for the extension of martial law and mobilization for another 90 days. This decision was made on January 12, 2023, and it stipulates that martial law and general mobilization will last at least until February 3, 2026.
Martial law in Ukraine was imposed on February 24, 2022. In this regard, general mobilization allows for the conscription of able-bodied citizens aged from 18 to 60. The decision to extend the action of martial law and mobilization was also signed by President Zelensky on October 30, 2025.
