President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree establishing the Day of the Unmanned Systems Forces, to be observed annually on June 11. The announcement came near the end of the 1,568th day of the war. In his remarks, Zelenskyy reviewed the first year of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) operations, noting that Ukrainian troops had struck Russian targets worth nearly $40 billion over that period.
Zelenskyy also highlighted that Ukraine became the first country in the world to create an entirely new branch of the military, calling it a major national achievement. As part of these efforts, Ukrainian Flamingo missiles, used for long-range strikes, hit a military factory in Cheboksary—a target located 900 kilometers from Ukraine.
