President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree to introduce new sanctions against individuals cooperating with Russia, who help maintain the occupation regime and finance the war. This list includes 28 citizens from various countries, including Russians, Iranians, and Ukrainian collaborators.
'For each name on this list, we are cooperating with law enforcement agencies of partner countries. Everyone who assists the Russian occupiers will bear responsibility for their actions against Ukraine and Ukrainians,' said the head of state.
By a separate decree, Kyiv also coordinated sanction measures with Canada, expanding them to 139 individuals who work in favor of the Russian military machine.
The list includes Ukrainian journalists and collaborators
The new list includes four citizens of Iran, while the rest are Russians and Ukrainians. Among the Ukrainian figures are 'military correspondents' Olena Bobkova, Renat Shavlo, Oleksii Havrysh, and Dmytro Makeiev, as well as the former advisor to the leader of the 'LPR' Yulia Velychko.
Among the individuals subjected to sanctions is also the 'ombudsman' in occupied Kherson, Serhii Heorhiiev. The list also includes Crimean entrepreneurs Volodymyr Vilehzhanyn and Volodymyr Kotelak, and among the owners of restricted gambling businesses, Ihor and Marіna Iliiinykh are mentioned.
Sanctions against Russian drone manufacturers
Earlier, Zelensky also signed a decree on sanctions against Russian drone manufacturers with artificial intelligence.
